Currently we ship within the US and Canada. Cetuvi handbags, however, may be purchased outside of these regions via our website directly from collaborating artists and art dealers during art shows and gallery exhibitions.
There are no special care instructions for maintaining the leather
used in your Cetuvi handbags beyond that required of any high-quality quality
leather product. While most of the leathers we select have been treated to
repel light moisture, it’s always best to keep your handbag dry. Should you
experience an unfortunate encounter with oils, grease, or staining liquids,
immediately wipe excess liquid with a dry cloth. (On the leather only. The
epoxy requires microfiber cloth.) Then, contact us and we can advise you as to
the best treatment method for the particular leather used in your Cetuvi
handbag. Refrain from using hair dryers, any saddle soaps, oils, abrasives,
cleaners, furniture polish, or ammonia water. As with all leather, it will
"break in" over time and become softer, more malleable and luxe to
the touch. As you probably read on the Process page, it’s unlikely that the
leather will ever tear away from the epoxy. Even if you hired the Hulk to rip
it off, he would only be left with fragmented threads from the actual leather.
The adhesive is so strong that if you're able to rip it, then the fibers will
still remain on the epoxy sides. But again, be our guest to contact us should
something this miraculous occur.
We make great efforts to create durable handbags while
simultaneously keeping them lightweight. Due to the
thinness of the sides, the epoxy will tend to bend under variousconditions
such as force, consistent stress and heat exposure. Leaving
your handbag in extreme heat, 95 degrees Fahrenheit and higher, will
make the sides extremely malleable. If this happens, simply place
your handbag in a cooler place.
It is not recommended to keep your handbag in direct sunlight
under any condition. The special epoxy we use does offer some UV protection to
the art housed within, however the amount of protection this offers can be likened
to guessing how long a fair-skinned child will truly remain unburned wearing
SPF 30. Sun exposure could ultimately cause your Cetuvi-baby to discolor or
yellow; and as mentioned above, the heat promotes malleability of the epoxy.
Short answer: YES. Treat your Cetuvi handbag as you would a
really nice pair of sunglasses. (You know, like you’re carrying around an
original piece of artwork.) The best way to clean the epoxy sides of your handbag
is with warm water and a microfiber cloth. Any other cloth will be too
aggressive and scratch your handbag. If you should scratch your handbag, contact
us to help you determine the next best steps. Worst-case scenario, an autobody
specialist who works on luxury cars may
be able to buff the epoxy back to its original luster.
